Mrs. Rafaella Georgiou is a Speech and Language Pathologist as well as a PhD student in the Department of Speech and Language Therapy at the University of Ioannina. vShe has received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Speech and Language Pathology from the European University of Cyprus (EUC). At the beginning of her professional career, she worked as a private Speech and Language Pathologist in both private offices and institutions for people with disabilities. Currently, she works as a Speech and Language Pathologist at the Ministry of Education, Sport, and Youth as well as a research partner and clinical supervisor in the Speech and Language Pathology Program of EUC. Her research interests focus on feeding and swallowing disorders (pediatric dysphagia) in both assessment and intervention methods in children and adults and communication disorders in children with neurodevelopmental and genetic disorders. Mrs. Georgiou has presented her work at conferences and published several scientific articles. She has also served as a peer-reviewed journal reviewer.
