Marianna Christodoulou Devledian

Marianna Christodoulou Devledian, PhD, CCC-SLP, is a lecturer at the Speech and Language Therapy Program at European University Cyprus (EUC). She received her doctoral degree in 2015 from the University of Cyprus in the area of Psychology with concentration in clinical cognitive neuropsychology. She received her Master’s degree in Speech Pathology from Nova Southeastern University in 2008 and her Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from the University of Maryland in 2002. She is a registered Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Cyprus and a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association.
Before being appointed the lecturer position at EUC, Christodoulou Devledian worked as a private practitioner. Parallel to her doctoral studies, she was involved in research projects funded by the Research and Innovation Foundation of Cyprus, in the Neuro Cognitive Research Lab at the University of Cyprus.
She is involved in numerous research activities through the supervision of student thesis. Christodoulou Devledian has served on the board of the National Speech and Language Association and is actively involved in the Health committee of the National Speech and Language Association. She is currently serving on the Scientific committee for Speech Language Therapists of the National health agency.
Her expertise centers around neurological disorders (both in children and adults) that affect communication and cognition. Her research interests revolve around semantic and pragmatic aspects of language and communication both in children and adults. Research interests regarding these areas range from development to how acquired neurological disorders might affect these aspects of communication.
