Paris Vogaziano
Full time Associate Professor
Dr. Paris Vogazianos is a full time Associate Professor of Research Methods and Statistics at the European University Cyprus (EUC) at the Department of Social and Behavioural Sciences, the department vice chair, the coordinator of the PhD program of studies in Psychology as well as a Research Associate of the Center of Excellence in Risk and Decision Science (CERIDES). Dr Vogazianos obtained his Ph.D. in 2004 in general medicine, field of preventive medicine, hygiene and epidemiology from the University of Masaryk of Brno (Czech Republic). He has also obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Actuarial Sciences from the Heriot -Watt University (Scotland) in 1998 and a B.Sc. (Hon.) in Mathematics with Actuarial Studies from Southampton University (England) in 1996.
Dr Vogazianos’ research history includes an ongoing collaboration since 2015 with the Bank of Cyprus Oncology Centre in connection to retrospective studies as prospective studies.
From 2011 – 2015 he Worked on the project PHDP in collaboration with Cyprus Audiology Center and the Neonatal Hearing Screening Program of the Centre for Preventive Pediatrics a Grant proposal funded by the Research Promotion Foundation. From 2006 – 2010 he acted as a subcontractor of the Royal Holloway University of London and Frankfurt University on the EU proposals GEOMON and MANOMETER. He has also worked on the project Linked2Safety a 4.7 million euro funded project by the European Commission.
He also expanded beyond medical analytics and onto border control analytics, working on meta-analyses of traveler’s data applicable to border control (iBorderCtrl, 4 million funding Horizon 2020). He also worked on the project AQ-SERVE (Air Quality Services for a cleaner air in Cyprus) a project funded by the Research promotion Foundation.
He is currently working on the project VACCELERATE, a 3-year pan-European project, funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Program, which has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 program. He is the European University coordinator of the project ACCEPT which has received funding from the EEA and Norway Grants.
Finally, he is currently part of PRO-ME-TOM a project funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Commission, the project CARDIOCARE, an interdisciplinary approach for the management of the elderly multimorbid patients with breast cancer that has received 6 million funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program and the project COMFORTAGE dealing with the Prevention and Relief of Dementia and Frailty’, funded by the European program Horizon Europe with 20 million Euros.
Dr. Vogazianos has published 40 journal papers and 40 conference papers and he has another 5 journal papers currently under editorial review.
